Maya Jane Coles // DJ Kicks Mix

For anyone who actually pays attention to this blog, or knows me personally, you are well aware that house music is not my strong suit or something I really listen to that often. The majority of the things I post are heady, bass driven, glitched out beats that (for the most part) is really not for the casual listener of "electronic" music and often times rarely is something you would hear on the dance floor.

Over the past few months I've been expanding these horizons, hitting the dance (four on the) floor, and checking out new and different blogs. I can't proclaim (publicly) just yet that I'm in love with house music, but if anyone is going to get me there it's Maya Jane Coles. Much in the way that bass music has become a mass of genre defying sounds blending everything from reggae, dubstep, soul, and ambient, she's taking "house" music to places I've not been aware that it was capable of.

Throwing Snow// IA // MIX 55

Inverted Audio is a London based online magazine focused on electronic music and visual art. Check out today's newest mix from UK downtempo bass producer, Throwing Snow. With other mixes posted from the likes of Raffertie, Solar Bears, & Seekae you can assume that I'll be holled up in my apartment for the next week geeking out on this blog.
