Jamie Woon - Wayfaring Stranger
I randomly stumbled upon this video one day when on a Burial geek out session on YouTube. Jamie Woon's sound, much in the same vibe of James Blake, can be described as a mixture of R&B infused with soulful samples. Maybe it's something in the water over there?
Today, whilst perusing my new favorite blog, disco naïveté, I discovered that Jamie's debut LP Mirrorwriting will be released in early April. Check out his site here. Visit his soundcloud to listen to the LP in it's entirety.

Moby - Sevastopol
A few weeks ago Moby released a new EP as an appetizer for a new album due out "in the middle May sometime" according to his new Blog. He describes the upcoming album as "very melodic and atmospheric and electronic" not an uncommon association from Moby, though he goes further to say he would also describe it as "broken down melodic electronic music for empty cities at 2 a.m". Broken down isn't something I'd often use in referring to his generally, pop driven, often more "techno" style. I'm excited to hear how this turns out.
Check out the lead track "Sevastopol" here.
